The Chiefs of Ontario Justice Sector is hosting a dialogue session on the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act.
This session will specifically focus on the recently released Draft National Action Plan, the ongoing validation process, the next steps in the release of the Final Action Plan in June 2023, and potential impacts on First Nations in the Ontario region. The session will include an update from the Department of Justice Canada, a presentation from Nick Lesson, Senior Counsel at Woodward and Company LLP, an open forum for questions and dialogue, and take-away materials.
