Important Notice:
The Chiefs of Ontario Environment Department will be hosting a two-day engagement session on March 3-4, 2021. The focus of the 2-day fulsome engagement sessions includes creation of First Nations-led policies and solutions related to access to safe, clean and reliable drinking water.
Dates:
Wednesday, March 3, 2021 - Day One
Day one is dedicated to repeal and replacement of the Safe Drinking Water for First Nations Act legislation.
Thursday, March 4, 2021 - Day Two
Day two is dedicated to the continued cooperation in the development of a long-term strategy for First Nations Water and Wastewater.
Who should attend:
Chiefs, water treatment plant operators, infrastructure technicians, public works managers, Tribal Councils and PTOs; with limit of two reps per community.
Location: Virtually via Zoom. Link will be sent out closer to the date to those who register.
